The executive committee is elected by, and reports to, the business meeting of SEALS, which is a general assembly of participants at the annual conference. Executive members serve as volunteers only.

A special note of thanks: In February 2025 Justin Watkins (formerly of SOAS, UK) resigned from the SEALS Executive. Justin made important contributions to SEALS over two decades, of particular note he organized the SEALS conference held in Yangon, Myanmar, May 28-May 31, 2014. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
